Casio Edifice Watch Release – EFR-501 chronograph

Casio Edifce Watches

Casio announced today the release of a new EDIFICE metal watch. Designed to resemble the gauge of a sports car, the new EFR-501 chronograph features multiple hands, including hands specifically for the alarm and several hands for the stopwatch functions, thereby enhancing the readability of the watch.

Capturing the essence of speed and intelligence, EDIFICE metal watches evoke a sense of velocity and motor sports energy with the movement of the hands, their rich stopwatch functions and their distinctive face designs.

In addition to a 1/20-second stopwatch, the new EFR-501 also has a dedicated hand in the center of the dial for setting alarm times.

The alarm is switched on and off using a small indicator at the 7 o’clock position, while the alarm time is shown by a black hand with a red tip, for enhanced readability. The large hour and minute hands exude presence, and the date indicator at the 3 o’clock position also displays dates for the previous and next days for greater clarity.

The stopwatch function offers precise time measurement. The small indicator at the 6 o’clock position indicates each 1/20 of a second, while the central second hand measures full seconds. The indicator at the 12 o’clock position measures the minutes over one hour, while the indicator at the 9 o’clock position measures the hours up to five hours. The masculine look of the dial, which employs carbon fiber like often used in motor sports, is accentuated by the metal parts of the indicators and the array of hands, which combine to evoke the feel of automotive gauges. The large and sturdy stainless-steel case features a screw-lock crown engraved with the EDIFICE logo.

Casio Continues Red Bull Racing Partnership

Casio announced today that it has renewed its contract with the Red Bull Racing Formula One team to continue serving as a Red Bull Racing Team Partner for the 2011 season. Last year, Red Bull Racing won the Formula One World Championship, the pinnacle of auto racing. Along with supporting the Red Bull Racing team even more fervently than it did last year, Casio will make the most of this relationship to strengthen the brand image for its EDIFICE full-metal watches for men, which capture the essence of motor sports.

Red Bull Racing has been competing in Formula One Championship races since 2005. Last season the team captured a double title with the Formula One Constructors’ Championship, and the Formula One Drivers’ Championship. In just six years, the team has steadily worked its way to the top of the rankings.

Under the concept of “Speed and Intelligence,” the EDIFICE line of analog metal watches evokes a sense of velocity and motor sports energy with the movement of the hands and distinctive watchface. With the electronics technology that Casio has developed over many years, the company has created a lineup featuring innovative chronographs that measure time in many ways using multiple moving hands and disk-shaped indicators. The EQS-1100DB, to be released this year, comes with high expectations as a solar-powered chronograph that features a 1/1000-second stopwatch while still being an analog watch with a multi-dimensional feeling and distinctive face design.

Red Bull Racing not only has a youthful image and energy, but also strives to achieve the fastest speed for its race cars through outstanding technology development capabilities. It also pursues the strategy of obtaining victory by leveraging the collective wisdom of the team. Casio believes that these qualities are a perfect match for the EDIFICE brand concept, and has been an official partner of Red Bull Racing since 2009. The company is honored to be able to support the drivers Sebastian Vettel, who is the current world champion, and Mark Webber, and the rest of the Red Bull Racing team, for the third consecutive year.

EDIFICE has been designated as the official team watch for the 2011 season, and the Casio logo will appear on racing suits worn by Vettel and Webber, as well as on the mechanics’ uniforms. The logo will also appear on the nose sections of the team’s new RB7 race cars. This will help demonstrate Casio’s support for all 20 scheduled races on the calendar. In addition to using team images in EDIFICE advertising, Casio plans to work with Red Bull Racing to release special collaborative watch models. These global marketing activities are expected to further enhance the EDIFICE brand image and help to grow sales.

Red Bull Racing’s Team Principal, Christian Horner, had this to say about the recent contract renewal: “We are delighted to continue the partnership between Red Bull Racing and Casio, and to build an even stronger cooperative relationship than last year. We pursue a high level of technology development, innovative ideas, and speed in everything we do. I’m confident that collaborating with a brand that embodies these concepts will bring benefits to both Casio and the Red Bull Racing team.”  Vistit www.thecasioshop.co.za today to see our complete Edifice range.

EF-554SP

New Casio EDIFICE Watch with Dynamic Design

Casio is proud to annouce announced the release of a new chronograph model in its EDIFICE line of metal watches—the EF-554SP—featuring a carbon fiber watchface with four inset dials arranged in a three-dimensional layout.

Capturing the essence of speed and intelligence, EDIFICE metal watches evoke a sense of velocity and motor sports energy with the movement of the hands and distinctive face of the watch. EDIFICE watches are especially popular with young people, thanks to their rich stopwatch functions and standout face designs.

The EF-554SP exudes a bold, stand-out image, with a double-layer metal plate attached to the carbon fiber watchface with screws. The face is arranged with four inset dials in a highly unique three-dimensional design.

This dynamic design of the multi-handed watchface enables stopwatch measurements using the movements of the various hands. The small hand at the 6 o’clock position can move back and forth to measure 1/20ths of a second as a retrograde stopwatch, and the stopwatch-hand in the center of the watch face counts seconds. The small hand at the 12 o’clock position counts minutes, and the small hand at the 9 o’clock position counts hours. To enable calculation of average velocity using the stopwatch measurements, tachymeter values are displayed on the bezel.

For the regular display of time, the center hands indicate hours and minutes, the small hand at the 6 o’clock position can also indicate seconds, and the small hand at the 3 o’clock position displays hours in 24-hour format.

Along with the EF-554SP, Casio is also releasing the EF-554D, which offers the same functions and specifications as the EF-554SP but with a grid-style design on a standard-material watchface.

Casio continues to showcase the superior technology and dynamic designs of its EDIFICE line of watches to the world by conducting promotional activities as an official partner of the Red Bull Racing F1™ team. If you would like to view our Red bull racing watches click here
